Patios and decks are both more than capable of giving you a really wonderful place where you can host family events, family gatherings and other special types of entertainment. At the same time, it is quite possible for you to add a small patio to a special little garden area in order to create a getaway spot where you can relax and soak up the calmness and the refreshment offered by the natural surroundings of the space.
Adding a deck or a patio or making improvements to an existing deck or existing patio is something that you can do in order to increase the equity in your home, adding value to your living space.
Fountains are becoming increasingly popular as a feature that you can add to your garden landscape design. There are a number of different types of fountains that you can install for this purpose including traditional and multi-tiered options that remind us of the European villas and country estates, bringing old world charm to a modern garden for example.
There are also a number of different types of modern fountains that you can install in your garden in order to utilize natural materials like unique stones and rocks or large ceramic pottery. These types of fountains are certainly becoming increasingly popular in a variety of different types of landscaping and gardening architecture.
Another popular element that is continuing to gain popularity in many garden settings is rock gardens. Rock gardens have the unique benefit of being extremely attractive while incorporating few if any plants, meaning that these rock gardens are extremely low maintenance but still quite beautiful. They require little or no watering and little or no weeding, and in general they require close to no attention unless you want to sit around and look at their beauty. Why spend so much time tending to your garden when you can spend most of your time instead admiring how beautiful it is without having to worry about time spent on maintenance?
Another really popular type of inspiration is to emulate the concept of an English cottage garden, and many people are incorporating traits from these famous gardens in their own garden spaces. These garden types are noteworthy because they are very freeform and tend to lack any formal planning. When it comes to English cottage gardens there is not a lot of rigidity when it comes to design, but the concept instead is to simply let things grow and to see what happens. If you are looking to create a garden space that is natural, organic and un fooled around with, the English cottage garden concept is one that is well worth exploring.
