There are a wide variety of different types of gardens, many of which follow the same theme as country garden landscapes. There are so many different types of gardens that it can seem daunting to determine which type is going to best suit your needs. Let us start with the two most basic garden types that you can put consideration into: Your choices are flower garden and vegetable garden. Now this may seem pretty simple but the real key is to expand from this simple concept and build your own unique garden landscape design. There are a number of other popular garden types that you can select. The only real limit to what kind of garden you plan is your own creativity and imagination.
English country gardens, for example, are not only popular with Europeans but also people who are simply a fan of the English countryside concept. English country gardens are made up of flowers and plants that are traditionally found in English country sides, depending on which countryside you are attempting to recreate. English country garden landscapes also often incorporate wildflowers, stone benches, rustic wood elements and ponds or small gazing pools.
Another popular type of garden landscapes is Victorian landscapes, especially among older gardeners as they can incorporate cherubs and gargoyles, Victorian roses, stone statues, gazing balls and fairy balls, footpaths and stone benches along with plants and flowers.
Japanese gardens are becoming increasingly popular, though they can be difficult for you to create if you do not have a lot of land in your garden space. Traditionally Japanese gardens have a small structure in the center or heart of the garden, like a home or a teahouse that looks out over the garden as a whole. Japanese gardens incorporate a lot of different elemental designs including rocks, water, lanterns and a bridge or collection of stepping stones.
French country gardens are formal gardens that are usually found at large homes, outside of hotels, theaters and other large scale attractions. French gardens are typically laid out in a precise and geometrical and symmetrical way, following a grid design. Many French Gardens also have hedge mazes and topiaries for added fair, as well as plants and hedges that are cut to resemble shapes, people and animals.
Native Gardens are a relatively new concept that is beginning to sweep the nation, attracting plenty of new people to gardening. The idea is only to use plants and flowers that are native to the specific region that you live in. Conservationists have said that planting gardens full of native plants will help with the soil and will provide refuge for local wild animals, meaning that not only will this be an interesting and intriguing landscape design but it will also improve the environment.
Choosing the garden landscape design that you will employ is completely up to you. Use your creativity and build on your design over time.
